Christian Education
We encourage adults and children to join our various Christian Educational programs, which include: family intergenerational services, Sunday school, youth programs and activities, bible studies, and meditation. St. Matthew’s is a caring community with a special interest in supporting members who are facing challenges and need help.
Outreach
At St. Matthew’s, ‘Outreach’ means those projects, activities and commitments which provide service to those in our community (and elsewhere in the world) who are vulnerable, marginalized or in need.
St. Matthew’s local Outreach activities are rooted in the understanding that God is active in the world through the lives of individuals and institutions in the community where we live. We seek to discern where God is calling us to serve and respond with the resources generously given to us by Him.
Caring for our environment is important to us. Join our Creation Matters stewardship group.
Interested in Volunteering?
Sunday Services
There are many opportunities to get involved as a volunteer at our Sunday services. Volunteering is a great way to enrich your spiritual life and meet people! You can volunteer as a greeter or a server. Other opportunities include joining the choir, assisting in our Sunday school or joining our prayer team.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are always welcome at St. Matthew’s. There are many ways you can help by volunteering for:
- Spring cleanup
- The Great Glebe Garage Sale
- Special Event organization: Music concerts, funerals
- Cooking for special events: Souper Sundays, Pancake Suppers
- Gardening
